Today, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv suspended the decision of the General Director of Ukroboronprom, Aivaras Abromavičius, dated 09 June 2020 on the dismissal the president of the State Enterprise Antonov, Oleksandr Donets. This news was reported by the Press Service of the reputed Law Firm Ilyashev & Partners, which is representing the interests of SE Antonov.
The court upheld the motion of Mr Donets filed within his claim against the unlawfulness of the Order of Aivaras Abromavičius. The court also imposed a prohibition to perform any actions directed at changing any information about the president of SE Antonov contained in the State Register, as well as to delete the information from the Register about Mr Donets as the head of the State Enterprise.
“Pursuant to the Administrative Court Procedure Code, the court Ruling came into force immediately after the moment when it was issued, i.e. Mr. Donets is currently the only lawful and rightful head of SE Antonov”, - comments the situation Roman Marchenko, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, a Senior Partner at Ilyashev & Partners. - Any person who is going to interfere with the activities of the president of SE Antonov will be subject to criminal liability under Article 382 of the Criminal code “Failure to abide by a court decision”, which is punishable by imprisonment for up to eight years”.
In needs to be mentioned that in response to the unlawful dismissal of Alexander Donets, the labor collective of SE Antonov held an open meeting on June 9 and petitioned the state leaders to leave A. Donets in the office and withdraw SE Antonov from the incompetent management of Mr Abromavičius.
Alexander Donets is a well-known specialist in the aviation industry with extensive work experience who started his career at SE Antonov in 1988 as a ground engineer. Later he held senior positions at Kyiv Aviation Plant Aviant, the State Aviation Enterprise Ukraine, and SE UkSATSE. Since May 2018, he has been occupying the position of the president of SE Antonov.
