The second edition of the Solidarity Arbitration and Mediation Days (SAMD 2023) will be held in Warsaw on 6 and 7 December 2023.

The purpose of the event is to demonstrate that the international arbitration and mediation community stands in continuous solidarity with all those who suffer due to the war in Ukraine.

The conference will be organized on a non-for-profit basis – revenues shall be transferred to the SAMD Scholarship Fund. We hope that all the recipients of the first edition of the SAMD scholarships granted in the early spring of 2023 will be able to attend the event, and that funds to be collected will allow to select and support many other Ukrainian students and junior lawyers.

The programme of the forthcoming conference, entitled "Recovery, Reconstruction and Modernisation - Designing the Future: Best Practices in Dispute Avoidance and Resolution" can be found on the website [Solidarity Arbitration and Mediation Days 2023: Solidarity Arbitration and Mediation Days 2023 (sakig.pl)].

The conference will be conducted in the hybrid method i.e. both physically and online, with simultaneous translation into Ukrainian, Polish and English. Organizators hope that the participants will attend it physically in Warsaw in order to meet Professor Mykola Selivon, Olga Kostyshyna, the Scholarship Recipients, and all other Special Guests from Ukraine!

The SAMD’s formula is open to the entire international arbitration and mediation community.
