GAR 100 ranking has recognised Sayenko Kharenko as a top global arbitration practice for the six-year in a row

The latest Global Arbitration Review guide has reconfirmed Sayenko Kharenko’s status as one of the world’s best international arbitration law firms. This year, the firm entered the ranking for the sixth time in a row. 

Acknowledged for its diverse client base, Sayenko Kharenko has represented esteemed organisations such as Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Additionally, the firm has provided legal counsel to companies across various sectors, including financial services, agriculture, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and construction.

The law firm partnered with Latham & Watkins to successfully defend Ukraine against a USD 6 billion Energy Charter Treaty, a significant achievement. Sayenko Kharenko also won a EUR 3 million ICAC award for their client OLFA in a dispute against Latvian company Olainfarm over a long-term contract for the supply of medicines. Additionally, Sayenko Kharenko provided expert testimony on Ukrainian law in the Scythian Gold case, which resulted in a landmark ruling by the Amsterdam Court of Appeal, ordering the return of the artefacts to Ukraine.
