On 26 November 2025, Valentyn Zasukha, Senior Partner at Hillmont Partners, spoke at a seminar organized by the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF), covering current issues in football justice.
As Chairman of the UAF Appeals Committee, Valentyn spoke with the heads of regional football associations, deputy chairmen, and members of football justice bodies about the specifics of considering cases on appeal. In particular, he pointed out a number of positive changes in the requirements for the structure and content of appeals, the procedure for filing appeals, deadlines, and the corresponding financial contributions by appellants.
Valentyn also noted improvements in the structure of decisions made by football justice bodies. Under the current UEFA Disciplinary Regulations and FIFA Disciplinary Code, the recommended structure of a decision presently shall include a thorough explanatory section, containing analysis of evidence and arguments, and an operative section, containing conclusions, sanctions, and deadlines for enforcement.
Experienced legal practitioner Valentyn Zasukha was re-elected as Chairman of the UAF Appeals Committee in April 2025. The function of the UAF Appeals Committee is to ensure fairness and compliance with disciplinary regulations in national football.
