INTEGRITES participates in the London International Disputes Week for the second year in a row, having become the first Ukrainian law firm to join the forum in 2021.
With its theme “Dispute Resolution – Global, Sustainable, Ethical?”, LIDW22 take place on May 9-13, in London’s Central Hall Westminster, in a hybrid format. The forum will provide crucial insights on the business and law of international dispute resolution. The programme for LIDW22 draws on current global issues facing the sector, including sustainability in dispute resolution, corporate social, ethical and environmental responsibility and related issues, the wellbeing challenges of ‘winning at all costs’, climate change disputes, witness recollection, trade challenges in a digital world, and London’s role in a decentralised world.
Partner and Head of International Arbitration at INTEGRITES Olena Perepelynska will speak in the panel discussion “London as a dispute resolution hub for disputes involving parties from Ukraine and Kazakhstan: disputes in turbulent times”. This session will consider the role of London arbitration and London courts, the role of English law and how lawyers have been adapting their work in these challenging times. It will also address the role of local and regional institutions. Olena will focus on someUkrainian aspects of cross-border dispute resolution.
Olena Perepelynska: “I take pride in representing INTEGRITES as a Ukrainian member of the LIDW 2022. Participation in the forum this year is particularly important as the war in Ukraine will entail complex disputes in the future due to disruption of numerous contracts caused by the russian military aggression. It is essential to highlight and discuss the main specifics of dispute resolution involving parties from Ukraine, considering the role of London as a hub for international disputes resolution”.
