EVERLEGAL has announced the appointment of Dmytro Trut to the firm’s partnership. He will lead the Tax Litigation practice and will also strengthen the White-Collar Crime practice as Co-Head alongside partner Taras Ivanenko.
Dmytro Trut, Ph.D., Advocate, has more than, has more than 15 years of experience in dispute resolution, tax and customs litigation, and White-Collar Crime. Throughout his career, he has represented Ukrainian and international companies, as well as their officers, in complex criminal proceedings, tax and customs disputes with a total value exceeding UAH 14 billion. His clients include representatives of the agricultural, metallurgical, IT, automotive, chemical and other industries. Prior to joining EVERLEGAL, Dmytro worked at leading Ukrainian and international law firms and also participated in the EU4PFM reform team.
Dmytro Trut’s expertise has been recognised over the years by Chambers Europe, The Legal 500, Ukrainian Law Firms and the “Top 50 Law Firms of Ukraine” ranking.
In addition to his legal practice, Dmytro Trut is the author of academic and professional publications, lectures on economic crimes at National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and is a co-founder of the charitable foundation “Descendants of Sahaidachnyi”.
